چکیده

could be need for emergency surgery. However, there were no complications. This change was performed 2 months after re-placement, sufficient time to consider the position of the electrode as stable, with similar stimulation parameters and total absence of phrenic stimulation. In conclusion, percutaneous traction of an electrode in the CS can be carried out even several years after implantation. In our opinion, given the ease of this procedure, it is worth attempting, so as to avoid a much more complicated and risky procedure.

A Patient with Left Bundle Branch Block and Persistent Atrial Fibrillation Treated with Cardiac Catheter Ablation and Pharmacologic Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy without the Use of an Implantable Cardiac Device

BACKGROUND Left bundle branch block (LBBB) is associated with atrial fibrillation (AF) and systolic heart failure, which can be treated with cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) that includes an implantable cardiac device (ICD). However, in some patients, LBBB may vary with heart rate, and during episodes of AF in LBBB, aberrant ventricular conduction, or wide QRS complex tachycardia (Ashman...

Effects Of Fast Pathway Ablation On The Concealment Zone And Electrophysiological Behavior Of AV-Node During Atrial Fibrillation.

Objectives: Dual pathways have a determinant role in the occurrence of atrio nodal tachyarrhythmia (AVNRT). The aim of present study is to determine the role of slow pathway (SP) in the concealment zone and protective role of AV node during atrial fibrillation (AF). Material &Methods: In 7 isolated nodal rabbit preparation zone of concealment and concealed conduction is quantified by Specif...

A Semi-Automated Algorithm for Segmentation of the Left Atrial Appendage Landing Zone: Application in Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion Procedures

Background: Mechanical occlusion of the Left atrial appendage (LAA) using a purpose-built device has emerged as an effective prophylactic treatment in patients with atrial fibrillation at risk of stroke and a contraindication for anticoagulation. A crucial step in procedural planning is the choice of the device size. This is currently based on the manual analysis of the “Device Landing Zone” fr...

Performance of electrophysiologic study in an asymptomatic patient with type 2 intermittent Brugada syndrome: To do or not to do?

Background: Brugada syndrome (BrS) is an inherited channelopathy, which is associated with sudden cardiac death due to rapid polymorphic VT or VF. There is no definite consensus regarding the management of asymptomatic patients. Some experts advocate close follow-up; others propose the programmed stimulation for risk stratification. We aimed to evaluate the benefit of complete atrial and ventri...
